Electric Bikes
E-bike Fact Center
-
The speed of an electric bike depends on the model and local regulations:
In most EU countries, the maximum assisted speed for e-bikes is 25 km/h (around 15.5 mph).
In the United States, some types of e-bikes (such as Class 3) can reach up to 45 km/h (around 28 mph), but they may be restricted to certain roads or require helmet use. -
-Battery Capacity and Range
Battery capacities typically range from 250Wh to 750Wh, directly impacting riding range. Generally, a 300Wh battery supports approximately 40–60 km of riding, while batteries over 500Wh can easily achieve 100 km or more, suitable for long-distance commuting or weekend trips.
-Braking System
Hydraulic disc brakes offer more responsive and stronger braking, especially in rainy conditions or downhill rides; mechanical disc brakes have a simpler structure and are easier to maintain, ideal for users seeking
practicality.
-Frame Design
For female riders and older users, a step-through design facilitates easier mounting and dismounting, significantly enhancing comfort and safety. For those with limited space or who frequently transport their bikes, folding or integrated frames offer convenient storage and portability, combining aesthetic appeal with practical functionality.
-Brand and After-Sales Service

The electric bike has a motor power of more than 750W-The top speed is more than 28 mph (45 km/h)
-Uses a throttle and can move without pedaling, especially at speeds up to 28 mph
-Designed or modified to resemble an electric motorcycle or moped
These are generally classified as "motor vehicles" and are subject to state laws, which may involve licensing, registration, and insurance requirements. -
-Follow Traffic RulesE-bikes aregenerally classified as bicycles in most cities and must adhere to all traffic signals, lane markings, and road signs. In the absence of dedicated bike lanes, ride safely on the right-hand side of the road (or left-hand side, depending on the country's traffic direction).
-Essential Safety EquipmentAlways wear a helmet. Ensure your bike is equipped with a front light, rear light, reflectors, and a bell to enhance visibility, especially at night or during rain.
-Speed Control and AnticipationIn crowded areas, intersections, blind spots, or downhill sections, control your speed. E-bikes accelerate quickly and can reach high speeds, so always maintain a braking distance of 4–7 meters.
-Regular Checks and MaintenanceBefore each ride, check that the brakes are responsive, the battery is secure, the tires are in good condition, and the lights are functioning. Regularly inspect the chain, gears, and motor system—ideally every few months or based on your riding frequency. -
Single-Charge RangeThe range of an electric bike on a single charge depends on several factors, including battery capacity (in Wh), riding mode, terrain, rider weight, and more. In general, you can expect a range of 40 to 100+ kilometers (25 to 60+ miles).
Battery LifespanMost lithium-ion batteries are designed to last for 500 to 1,000 full charge cycles. The batteries used in Bodywel e-bikes typically support around 800 cycles on average. It’s important to note that after around 800 cycles, the battery doesn't suddenly stop working—instead, its range may gradually decrease. With proper care and maintenance, an e-bike battery can typically last 3 to 5 years or even longer.
